Being a regular visitor to Virginia Beach , I found this our most pleasant stay to date. The room was very nice ,the hotel was very clean ,and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was very well done ,with everything from eggs and sausage to bagels, danish and cereals. We also enjoyed the pool ,which was very well kept. While not close to the beach,it is central to all the shopping and dining the city has to offer. We did have a small mixup in booking,we asked for a smoking room ,but was given non smoking. They did offer to change our room ,but we preferred to stay on the ground floor rather than the fourth floor where the smoking rooms are. On Monday ,after the 4th of July weekend, the cleaning was a little slow ,and we had to ask housekeeping if they could get to our room a little sooner. That was around 4:00 pm.All in all ,a pleasant stay and would book again.

The room was one of the nicest and most comfortable I have slept in, over many years of travel, (in all respects). Exceptionally quiet rooms, COLD air conditioning, fantastic and comfortable bed and extremely clean. Very modern and updated decor, good (hot) water pressure in the shower and well lit rooms; not like the dark and dreary "medium price" look you expect from similar hotels. The morning breakfast was very busy, but moved smoothly. The manager was out there helping everyone with seating and serving food; he even made the waffles for some of the parents, while they hustled their children to the tables. The staff as a whole was great and they all helped out during breakfast. Good variety of eggs/omelettes ,meats, biscuits/gravy, fruit, yogurt, pastries and juice. Folks, the breakfast alone is worth $*- $* a person at any restaurant near the beach. FREE INTERNET SERVICE in the lobby. Yeah...that is a REAL perk these days, as everyone cuts back on the amenities. I didn't worry about the pool, and frankly, it shouldn't factor into anyone staying here. You go to Virginia Beach...to see the beach and the ocean. The hotel is a place to sleep, shower and hang your clothes. This Hampton Inn is worth staying at and driving the 10 miles to the beach. When you get there, you will see the "other hotel options" and be glad you have a comfortable hotel to return to at the end of a fun, busy day at the beach. You will be happy you made this decision.

we just returned from family road trip that my daughter asked for as HS grad present. We were thrilled with everything offered at the Hampton Inn. everyone greeted you warmly, very professional. the rooms were impeccable. the location was perfect. my husband n son golfed every day and the courses were accessible from hotel. we had arrived from DC which was not a good experience so we were very happy with this leg of our journey and definetly plan to return.

This hotel is very clean, quiet, and the staff very friendly and eager to be of service. The complimentary breakfast is great. Easy access to the beach. What would have made my stay super excellent would have been a bus/van to transport me to/from the beach, especially on a holiday weekend. I would even be willing to pay a nominal fee for transportation.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn, in VA Beach (on Greenwich Rd) on August 6&7 2008 and it was wonderful! The room was very clean, all of the employees were friendly and very helpful and it was very quiet. I didn't hear any other guests either night. The bed was comfortable and I especially liked having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. It was so easy to access and close to the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre where I went for a concert. I would stay there again, in fact I plan to the next time I go to VA Beach.
